Batik making technology with wax-resist-dyed-technique techniques still plays a big role in Indonesia, especially in the small and medium-sized batik industry. Utilization of appropriate technology that can be used is the use of automation technology in the form of CNC machines that are able to move in an accurate pattern so that it can increase productivity and reduce product defects when stamping batik. The focus in this research is the development of automatic batik cap production processes by utilizing CNC technology. The research development is different from previous studies because it uses different types of CNC machines from both dimensions, transmission systems, and controllers. The design and selection of automatic batik machine specifications using the VDI 2221 design method which consists of planning and explaining the task, designing the product concept, designing the product form and designing the detail.
