My name is Kirana Endiani Rukmantarsa. I'm 21 years old and I'm a recent graduate from University of Gadjah Mada, majoring in International Relations (GPA 3.88).

I'm fluent in English and have an overall band score of 7.0 for my IELTS certification. I was an exchange student at Sciences Po campus de Reims in France, a visiting student at Tsinghua University in China, and an international volunteer at AIESEC in Colombo North, Sri Lanka. 2019: Abstract

BRI is arguably the most ambitious project in the century furthering the global integration and connectivity. This plan seem to be appealing for politically unstable and economically stagnant countries, leading them to a high amount of deb to China. It comes to the question then on whether China's loan part of BRI's grand design to entrap these countries or a mere byproduct.

2020: Contributed to an article titled: The 'State Capture' of South Africa: Analyzing Political Culture in the Post-Apartheid Era

Abstract

In the post-apartheid era of South Africa, political corruption has become so common that it has been accepted as a fact of life. The former President Zuma, who was dubbed as the 'King of Corruption', was even accused of selling South Africa to the prominent Gupta family, chance the name of 'state capture'.

This has raised a debate on what kind of political situation allows such practice to transpire in the first place. This paper then would like to claim that the legacy of the previous system, such as the normalization of political corruption, the prevalent patron-client relation, and the prominence of the African National Congress (ANC), are the ones that shaped what we know of South Africa today.
