My name is Laras, and I am graduate from Universitas Kristen Satya Wacana. I am an English Literature major concentrating on Creative Writing studies with an accumulated 3.99 GPA. Personally, I'm very passionate in journalism, academic writing and content writing. However, I'm open to all kinds of writing styles - currently I have several personal projects in the fiction, script writing, and poetry department.
I have a long history with writing. I started out my writing career by submitting articles to online publications. My articles have been featured on websites like Creasi Indonesia, Magdalene, and Kudeta Magazine. In university, I was the editor-in-chief of my campus magazine. In the previous year, I worked as a content writer intern for a Swedish-based website called Globuzzer. At the same time, I was working as a content writer for a Salatiga-based website called Idelokal.Â
I have recently resigned from my full-time job as a Customer Service Specialist, and am currently developing a career in the writing department, but while I wait for those applications to be reviewed, I'm trying out different projects to fill out my time and to keep my brain in check.
Besides writing, I am a freelance ENG-ID/ID-ENG translator. an English Language tutor, and a poet in Unveiled Spoken Word Jogja You could say that I'm a jack of all trades. With my adventurous spirit and will to learn, I am up for new challenges.
